Exeter/Visalia

So this last weekend I decided to take myself to Exeter.  There are people there whom I love and they have the cutest most precious munchkins you've ever seen.  (Not to mention, Sunflowers are everywhere there and they're my most favorite).  There aren't many people in my world-or in this great big world- that live and love the way Josh and Jennifer do.  Their story is of the most precious kind. Its' unconventional. Just how I like it. Sometimes, I find myself recalling it for good measure...just to remember the Faithfulness of God and the Grace he freely gives- especially when it's founded on the souls of two willing vessels.  They are the simple and un-jaded kind.  And I find myself refreshed by just being around them.  So on Thursday evening I jumped in my car, central valley bound with a backpack, a camera, a good book, and my workout shoes (but of course).  Josh is beginning a CrossFit gym out there and I had to taste the beginnings of it.  CrossFit Visalia...YES!  So we sweat (a lot), kind of slept, ate, ate some more, made smoothies (I need a Vitamix blender), drank coffee, talked, and repeated.  (What else does one need?) I think one of these days I may pick up my roots and wander elsewhere.  Preferably in their direction.  Maybe I'm more romantic than realistic, but the thought of some land and some goats and some local farmers markets next to one of my best friends really peaks my interest!  All that aside, I couldn't not share but only some of the snapshots of a family that I really, really love.
The Road behind. The Road ahead. He is Past, Present, and Future.

I love these things. Don't know why...

Meet King Josiah!
Meet Joyful. She had to share her booger.
Meet Jachai.  He has a BIG purpose. We know that much!

"Hey kids...MAKE ME FUNNY FACES!"

He was a bit pouty, but we converted him eventually!

Ummm....please look at Josiah and TRY NOT to fall out of your chair laughing hysterically.

Pretty rad.

He was laughing pretty hard!

BEAUTY.

Hanging out during the morning workout

Climbing on big tires...check.  Joyful falling into the middle...check.
3.2.1 Pain... 30 power cleans, 30 toes to bar, 1200 meter run.
20 power cleans, 20 toes to bar, 800 meter run.
10 power cleans, 10 toes to bar. 400 meter run.
That was a HARD day of play.

Go Katie!

I think I might just keep him.

The scene.

Best mama ever.  Right before our workout.  Ouch!

Notice the "toilet" to the right.  "The Puker."

A few quotes to live by:

Josiah: "Where are you going?"
Me: "To go wash my face."
Josiah: "Can I watch you?"
Me :"Sure you can"
Wherein I proceed to walk into the bathroom and he follows. I bend over the sink and splash water on my face and he gasps...
"HAH! My mommy can do that too!!!"

As I'm holding Joyful while standing on the huge tire seen above, I propped her up on my hip and she goes "Ouch that hurts. My underwear gets stuck and I can't pick it."
 (I about died)

(these hardly scratch the surface...)
